A Mano Surf Session #2

We always feel a little nervous when we announce an A Mano Surf Session because we’re basing it on a ten day forecast for swell and weather and they’re pretty close to guesswork a lot of the time. Fortunately the A Mano community who came down for Surf Session #2 scored a beautiful sunny day and the most perfect surf imaginable.

Our mates at Marvell Street Coffee Roasters dropped off some batch brew coffee to take the edge off the brisk offshore breeze. The swell started out best suited to our Noserider and Lady Log. It built throughout the morning into the 2-3 foot range and was the perfect height for trying out our whole quiver.

It was epic meeting so many new people and seeing so many stoked faces running up the beach to try another board and have a cup of coffee.

We loved hearing everyone’s different experience of our boards – the Twin Pin and the Lady Log were the most popular on the day and were put to work on the righthander peeling across Belongil beach.

By lunchtime, we had an esky full of Gage Road beers to even out the coffee jitters. Thanks so much for everyone who came down and shared some coffee, conversations and such good energy. It was so great seeing everyone taking different lines on our boards and exploring new sensations. A Mano Surf Session #2 will help us get through this winter in the shaping bay with a big smile.

Stay tuned to our Instagram for details of the next #amanosession. Excited to see you in the surf soon!
