A Mano Surf Session #3

Remember how said we get nervous when we announce an A Mano Session based on a ten-day forecast? Last weekend’s session was why. Not even changing days could side-step the Springtime Northerlies but the onshore just fanned the good times.

Maybe it was celebrating lockdown freedom, the appeal of free coffee from Marvell Street Coffee Roasters, or trying out some new surfboards. Whatever it was, it was a stellar turnout. Whenever conditions are questionable, we use it as an opportunity to drop expectations and remember that fun is a state of mind and you can find it where you least expect it. Everyone who came back in after a surf said it was better than it looked – yew beauty.

The coffee was slurped up pretty fast and fuelled a heap of curiosity and great chats about boards, new sensations and those hats and bags. Our mates El Dingo kept people in the shade and Lord Bagz kept feet clean and clothes sand-free. We raffled off a couple of prize packs at the end of the day – something that we’ll do again for sure.

Seeing so many new faces and meeting new people always makes us stoked. It’s a great learning opportunity to hear all the different experiences everyone had on our boards.

Thanks for coming down and if you missed out this time, stay tuned to our Instagram for details of the next #amanosession coming to an offshore near you before Christmas.
